Kindergarten Activity Bag...Sight Words Beans

I put together this activity for O(5) a few months ago to take on vacation. It was super simple to put together.

I used sharpie marker to write sight words from the dolch sight words lists onto white beans.  Done!

The beans can be kept in a pencil pouch for "on the go" sight words practice.

  5. This is such a great idea and something I have never seen before! The children I work with are far too young for this but I love the idea of writing on the beans. This opens endless possibilities of putting letters, numbers and even tiny pictures on beans.

  9. My students are fifth graders. This would be fun to have the bag full of beans with grade level vocabulary words. Each student reach in a get 5 beans (any number) that they will have to construct sentences for. Just a thought!

  11. Since my son will do just about anything for a reward, I can use this as an incentive. When he collects twenty beans, he can earn a prize. He can earn the beans by identifying and/or spelling the words correctly!
